Renewal Deadline

RN licenses expire December 31 of even-numbered years. LPN licenses expire December 31 of odd-numbered years. Renewal period begins September 1.

Mandatory Topics

Board-Provided Orientation (New Licensees)

Required for newly licensed nurses before first renewal. Covers Nurse Practice Act, board functions, professional conduct, and accountability.

Additional Notes

All 24 hours are elective for experienced nurses. CRNPs and CNMs with prescriptive authority need 6 hours in pharmacology specific to their practice area.
