Renewal Deadline

Biennial renewal. Licenses expire on the nurse's birthday in even or odd years depending on initial licensure.

Mandatory Topics

Arkansas does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.

Additional Notes

15 practice-focused contact hours required, or hold current national certification, or complete a minimum of one college credit hour course in nursing with grade C or better. APRNs with prescriptive authority need an additional 5 hours biennially in pharmacotherapeutics, 2 of which must cover prescribing rules and professional boundaries.
