Renewal Deadline
Licenses renew every 2 years on the last day of the nurse's birth month.
Mandatory Topics
Colorado does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.
Additional Notes
Colorado does not require continuing education for RN or LPN license renewal. Nurses who have not practiced with an active license in the previous 2 years must demonstrate continued competency, which can be established through completion of a refresher course. APRNs may have additional requirements based on their national certification body.
