Renewal Deadline

Licenses renew every 2 years. RN licenses expire on April 30 of odd-numbered years. LPN licenses expire on April 30 of even-numbered years.

Required every renewal period.

Additional Notes

Florida has one of the most specific mandatory topic requirements in the country. APRNs must complete 27 hours total, including a 3-hour course on safe and effective prescription of controlled substances every renewal. The CE exemption based on certification does NOT apply to the controlled substances or human trafficking requirements.
