Licenses renew every 2 years on the nurse's birthday.

Mandatory Topics

Maine does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.

Additional Notes

Maine does not require continuing education for RN or LPN license renewal. Nurses must meet continued competency standards set by the board, which can include CE but does not mandate it. APRNs must maintain national certification.
