Mandatory Topics

Opioid Prescribing and Pain Management

1 hour on prescription opioid drugs, alternatives to opioids for managing and treating pain, and risks of opioid abuse, addiction, and diversion.

Organ and Tissue Donation

One-time requirement of 1 contact hour on organ and tissue donation and recovery.

Additional Notes

30 hours required with some flexibility in how they are earned. The opioid hour is recurring; the organ donation hour is a one-time requirement. Some hours may be satisfied through means other than formal CE courses.
