Opioid Prescribing

1 contact hour on prescription opioid drugs, alternatives to opioids for pain management, and risks and signs of opioid abuse, addiction, and diversion.

30 hours required with 1 mandatory hour on opioids. The remaining 29 hours are elective. Courses must be approved by the New Jersey Board of Nursing or accredited providers.
