Licenses renew every 2 years on December 31 of even-numbered years.

Mandatory Topics

North Dakota does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.

Additional Notes

North Dakota has one of the lowest CE requirements in the country at 12 hours per 2-year cycle. No mandatory topics are specified for RNs/LPNs. Nurses may also satisfy requirements through alternative competency options.
