Renewal Deadline

Licenses must have completed CE requirements by April 30 of every even-numbered year.

Mandatory Topics

South Carolina does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.

Additional Notes

30 hours for RNs/LPNs, 45 for APRNs. No mandatory subjects for RNs/LPNs. APRNs with prescriptive authority must have 20 of their 30 general hours in pharmacotherapeutics with 2 related to prescribing controlled substances. CE Broker is the official tracking system. DEA registrants need 8 hours on opioid/substance use disorder treatment.
