Licenses renew every 2 years on January 31 of even-numbered years.
Mandatory Topics
Utah does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.
Additional Notes
Multiple competency pathways: 30 hours of CE, or 15 hours of CE plus 200 hours of licensed practice, or 400 hours of licensed practice alone. No mandatory topics specified for RNs/LPNs. APRNs need 40 hours with 15 in pharmacology. Controlled substance prescribers need additional opioid-specific education.
