Renewal Deadline

Licenses renew annually on the nurse's birthday. 8 hours of CE required each year plus 96 hours of active practice.

Health Equity

Required annually starting with renewals after 2026. 2 hours of health equity CE per renewal period.

One-time 6-hour suicide prevention course required.

Additional Notes

Washington requires annual renewal with 8 CE hours per year (equivalent to 16 hours per 2-year cycle). The health equity requirement is 2 of the 8 annual hours. Nurses must also maintain 96 practice hours per year. Telemedicine training is required for nurses who provide telemedicine services.
