Renewal Deadline

Licenses and certificates expire December 31 of renewal year. Renewal application due by October 1 of even-numbered years.

Mandatory Topics

Wyoming does not require specific mandatory topics. All CE hours may be in topics relevant to your practice area.

Additional Notes

Wyoming offers multiple competency pathways: 400 hours of active nursing practice, or 200 hours of practice plus 15 hours of CE, or 30 hours of CE, or passing NCLEX. No mandatory CE topics for RNs/LPNs. APRNs with prescriptive authority must complete 3 hours related to responsible prescribing of controlled substances or treatment of substance abuse disorders.
